Chernobyl: 26th anniversary

Today, April 26, 2012, marks the 26th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. If you like, check out the 'Chernobyl, Fukushima: Never Again' Web site here to learn about events taking place around the world to commemorate this very sober occasion.

I also strongly recommend that you take 20 minutes & watch the YouTube by the Frying Dutchman (of Japan) called "Human Error" you'll find here

It's about the Fukushima accident, the ongoing disaster that some are worried now will lead to the extinction of human life on Planet Earth. And about nuclear power in general, & ending the nuclear experiment.

It's brilliant & mind-blowing & it will blow you away!

p.s. last year's Chernobyl anniversary post has a lot of links in it for more on the accident & also the book that is available about it.

p.p.s. watch the short (20 minute) documentary 'Chernobyl to Fukushima: A Campaigner's Journey.'

p.p.p.s. 'Health Effects of Chernobyl 25 years after the reactor catastrophe.'
