Life, Money & Illusion – Living on Earth as if we want to stay is the name of a book by Mike Nickerson (2006).
Mike will be in & around Toronto in the next week or so, & I want to help promote his talks. I think you may find what he has to say of interest.
Mike says: “While humans are a gifted creature, finding our way out of the present situation requires that we acknowledge how the world has changed.
For forty years, Mike Nickerson has been studying the problems and solutions of our times. His study, from outside of institutional molds, reveals how societies change. Nickerson will facilitate a discussion based on his book "Life, Money & Illusion; Living on Earth as if we want to stay." Mike invites you to join him for “a presentation and discussion about how we could recreate mutual provision (the economy) in a way that can provide for countless generations to come.”
The details about Mike’s upcoming appearances can be found on his Web site.
Please check at http://www.flora.org/sustain//tour_open.html for more info!
* Lots more talks around Ontario later on, & various locations out in B.C. in May.
As Howard Jerome, quoted in Mike’s book, has said, “We can no longer have everything we want, but we can be more than we ever imagined.”
