Sometimes I forget to breathe. & then it’s such a relief to do it again – consciously

Too often, I forget how important music is

then I hear some

& think

Yes yes yes yes yes…. :)

& sometimes

I go so far down a rabbit hole

Nuclear madness

Human stupidity & greed

The just-not-quite-trustworthiness of some politicians (thinking current Senate expenses scandal)

(& the corporate madmen; to me, they are utterly utterly utterly mad & beyond the pale)

& the impossibility of any solutions

that I feel almost mad myself

with misery

& grief.

& sometimes

(thank Goddess!!)

I smile at an adorable toddler

In a restaurant

Play a secret, subversive game

Of peek-a-boo

(the parents having no idea of the little secret game)

& then

I feel

Human again

Thank Goddess…

:) :) :)

‘Quote of the day’ with this post: “…the world sometimes feels like the waiting room of the emergency ward and that we who are more or less OK for now need to take the tenderest possible care of the more wounded people in the waiting room, until the healer comes. You sit with people, she said, you bring them juice and graham crackers.” – From Traveling Mercies, by Anne Lamott
