Does it really matter what I do, now? (I’ve always been the sort of person who believed deeply that it matters – deeply – how I behave, how I live my life.)
A person has to wonder now.
Facing what our species now faces.
I didn’t have to wonder long.
Of course it still matters what I do, & how I do it
‘cos that’s what it means
to be human.
Maybe it even matters more than ever!
It matters ‘cos we hold each other up.
We need each other
Maybe more than ever…

“The secret cause of all suffering is mortality itself, which is the prime condition of life. It cannot be denied if life is to be affirmed…. The conquest of the fear of death is the recovery of life’s joy.” – Joseph Campbell, quoted in Broken Open – How Difficult Times Can Help Us Grow
